Symptom
When you try to create a new Quick Bid (interactive) bid in On-Screen Takeoff®, On-Screen Takeoff locks up.
Example
In the Cover Sheet of On-Screen Takeoff you select Price Using, Quick Bid (interactive), then click the Find Database button.
The Select Quick Bid Database window appears, but it is blank and On-Screen Takeoff freezes.
Cause
When you set a bid to Quick Bid (interactive) and click Find, On-Screen Takeoff attempts to access every database listed in the Quick Bid Open Databases dialogue box. If one of the listed databases is unavailable, On-Screen Takeoff may stop responding.
Resolution
Open Quick Bid, Click File, and then Open
If you know which database is no longer accessible, select it and then click the Remove button
If you do not know which database is accessible, simply select all databases available (checkbox), then click OK
Quick Bid will display a message identifying database(s) is not available, use this to remove the name from the Open Databases list and then try to create an interactive bid
