Changes in upgrade from build 1.56 to 1.57:

• Major changes :
  • Keep Typical Group marker area assignment when Typical Group marker is pasted to change orders or alternates.
  • Removed unnecessary options from Cover Sheet.
  • Automatically check user's Project Express inbox when OST opens.
  • Change default value for Roping Method to Touching.
• Updates:
  • Calculate Scale is disabled if bid is imported from OSP file.
  • Corrected in some users databases, alternates were being created and renamed randomly when using Quick Bid Interactive mode.
  • Takeoff assigned to Zones were tweaked to group correctly on the Takeoff Tab.
  • Updated the Conditions Window when it is undocked. Sometimes it was not possible to resize the window vertically.
  • Print area indicator frame orientation on Image View when page is rotated 90 degrees was tweaked.
  • Takeoff in typical groups in Change orders and alternates is now updated in QB and the takeoff tab.
  • Updating Typical Area count now immediately updates quantity in Takeoff tab.

  • When exporting a project with multiple Image paths, the Bid Package now correctly builds the folder structure upon import.

  • Takeoff Tab and Quick Bid now consistently refresh correctly.
  • Attachments on hidden layers are more bound to parent objects. Therefore, deleting a parent object will delete the attachment.
  • Overhauled Typical Group Layers.
  • Tweaked printing Typical Pages.
  • Takeoff for Typical Groups for Change Orders and Alternates is now updating Quick Bid consistently.
  • Quick Bid quantities are updated more reliably.
  • Alternates are not randomly renamed for some database scenarios.
  • The Bids Tab no longer shows false duplicate bids under Folders when 'Group by Job Status' is checked.
• Database Upgrade Required for all users upgrading to this version from any version previous to v.3.6.0.137 (3.6.0.134 and before).

On Center Software recommends that if you have bids due that you wait to install any upgrade until you have sufficient time. It is also a good idea to make an archival backup of your database files before installing any upgrade.

• Once the download is complete, double-click the file to run the Installer.
• The installer will remove your previous version, then install the upgraded application.

NOTE: Your data files will not be affected until they are accessed in this version of On-Screen Takeff.

Note: On-Screen Takeoff 3.6 is an upgrade to 3.4.1 and 3.5, if you have a version of On-Screen Takeoff prior to v. 3.4.1.526, you will need to uninstall that version before installing v.3.5. Uninstalling On-Screen Takeoff does not affect your data files.

To uninstall On-Screen Takeoff 3.6

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Locate Add/Remove Programs.
3. Select On-Screen Takeff from the list.
4. Choose "Remove" from the options list

NOTE: uninstalling On-Screen Takeff does not affect your data files.
