Hi all
Has anyone had experience running the OCS Licence Manager (OCSLM) on a Virtual server under a manual licensing setup? I understand it’s not officially supported due to the USB Dongle requirement but I’m just curious if this is the only reason it’s not supported. We have been running an older version of the Licence Manager (v1.2.1.27) using Manual Licensing instead of the dongle. This has been done on a physical server thus far but our Server Engineers have it earmarked it for virtualization in the future. If anyone can share their experience of this it would be appreciated. If possible please also include the version of the Licence Manager and Virtual Server software you used. Thanks Tim Feldman |

As long as you can configure your virtual server to read the USB dongle, you can load the OCS License Manager on that virtual server. There are several forums and Web sites that can help you with setting up and configuring virtual servers to meet your business needs - that is something with which On Center Software doesn't assist.
