You can configure various options using the Management Console such as creating admin accounts, viewing vendor daemon logs, setting up alerts, and setting the server to use ports other than the defaults.

Configuring Console Users (Admins)
The Enterprise License Manager administrator can add users who can then manage the license manager or simply see who's using licenses.
Click on the User Configuration tab. From this screen, one can add, edit, or delete users. Most clients will not need to create users, the included "Admin" account should be sufficient for your needs.
Configuring Alerts
Alerts are displayed on the Dashboard View of the license server management interface.
The administrator can setup which alerts are displayed and how they are cleared in the Alert Configuration tab.
Configuring Server Options
There are several configuration settings that can be modified on the Server Configuration tab.
On Center Software does not support 'Secure Web connections' or authorizing over the Internet. The server where Enterprise License Manager is installed/running and the workstations activating to Enterprise License Manager must be on the same domain.
Web Server Configuration
This defines how the console launches. Web Server Configuration allows the administrator to set options for opening the license server management interface.
Normally, the only thing one would change is the HTTP Port, (the port used to connect to the license server management interface). For example, if you set this to port 8091, to open the interface, you would type "localhost:8091" in a Web browser, instead of "localhost:8090".
License Server Configuration
On this screen, the administrator can set the port that the lmadmin service uses to communicate with the vendor daemon(s) on the server. The default port is assigned by Windows when the LMAdmin service starts and is between 27000 and 27009. The System Information screen shows the port currently in use by lmadmin.exe. See Related articles for more information on viewing System Information.
The "Maximum thread sessions" can be adjusted as needed - by default they are set at 10/5, this may not be adequate if there are more than five (5) concurrent users.
10/5 means that a total of 10 licensing requests can be 'considered' by the server at one specific point in time and 5 requests for licenses can be received by the server at the same time. If this is not enough 'threads', users will receive an error message indicating the license server cannot be reached or is not responding (intermittently).
Logging
The administrator can change the type of information logged as well as open the most recent 200 lines of the log in a new window. This is the LMAdmin log, not the vendor daemon log which logs specific requests/approvals/denials for licensing.
User Interface
The administrator can change how the license server management interface is displayed and whether or not a password is required to access the Web interface.
On Center does not use "Activatable" license models so if you are using On Center's ELM only on this server, set this option to "Concurrent" to save yourself a click every time you open the LMAdmin console.
Configuring the Vendor Daemon
A vendor daemon is an executable running on the server that communicates between lmadmin.exe and the end users. The vendor daemon receives requests for licensing, determines if a license is available, and provides the license to the end user. The vendor daemon manages all license use on the server. ELM's vendor daemon is named "oncenter.exe".
LMAdmin polls the vendor daemon to display license use information in the license server management interface.
In the screenshot below, oncenter is the only vendor daemon running although your company may have several vendor daemons running for different applications (such as AutoCad, Adobe, or others). This summary screen shows the name of the vendor daemon, its status, version number, and the port on which it is listening for user licensing requests.
If the vendor daemon "oncenter" shows "down", that means the license manager is not running correctly and no users will be able to activate the products. First, try to restart the vendor daemon (see instructions below). If that doesn't work, review the Related article for help with Troubleshooting License Manager Activation. If you still cannot get the vendor daemon to start, contact Support.
Vendor Daemon Detail
To modify settings for the vendor daemon, click on the Name (oncenter) or "Administer", the vendor daemon detail screen opens. If you are using Internet Explorer 10 or newer, when you click on the vendor name or "Administer" links nothing may happen. Just click the Compatibility Mode icon in the address bar to load the page properly. See Internet Explorer's user documentation for more details on using Compatibility Mode.

Vendor Daemon Logging
The administrator can specify options for the vendor daemon log file.
- If Overwrite Daemon Log is checked, each time the license manager is restarted, the log file is cleared
- By default, logs are stored in the installation folder for LMAdmin, under 'Logs', named for the vendor daemon. In ELM's case, the log file is called 'oncenter.log'.
- Click View file externally to see the log in a new browser window
