ON CENTER SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
Company Helps Build Future Construction Industry Professionals
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (January 7, 2008) – On Center Software, a leading provider of electronic plan viewing, takeoff, estimating and production tracking software for the construction industry, wants to help prospective construction industry professionals build their futures. The company has announced the timeline for its semi-annual $1,000 scholarship competition for post-secondary school students enrolled in the Construction Management field of study.
The scholarship competition is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students at public and private, two-year and four-year college programs in the United States and abroad. Interested students may email educators@oncenter.com to obtain a free 30-day trial of an On Center Software product to use as the basis for writing a case study about the software, to submit to the company by May 31, 2008 for the Spring 2008 semester. Case studies must be two pages long using Arial or Times New Roman 12-point font, aligned left or justified. Entries will be judged on professionalism, grammar, content, incorporation of industry knowledge/standards, and the degree to which the student's use of the software is apparent. The winning entry will be announced in June 2008.
The scholarship competition is part of On Center's Academic Program, which also offers con-struction students benefits such as discounted software and upgraded programs. More than 200 colleges and technical schools across America and internationally participate in the program.
