On Center Software, Inc. is pleased to announce that we will grant a $1,000 scholarship to one student during the Fall Semester of each academic year.
The Scholarship will be awarded based on a case study that a student will complete during the course of a semester using both Quick Bid and/or On-Screen Takeoff.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criterions:
- Professionalism of case study
- Does the case study relate to the Construction Engineering industry?
- Content
- Is the case study in depth and complete?
- Industry knowledge / standard
- Does the case study demonstrate knowledge that one has acquired in college?
- Does the case study conform to set industry standards?
- The Level of Software Usage
- Does the case study demonstrate that the student proficiently used the software?
- Grammar
- 2 pages in length with Arial or Times New Roman, 12 point font and aligned left or justified
- Submitted before December 31st of the current academic year
- Case study topics can include, but are not limited to:<
- Electronic plans and bidding
- Area vs. Typical Area
- The cost and effect of change orders on a project
- Rapid takeoff with several methods of Organizations
- Present takeoff ideas and concepts to customers using software
***Remember that Professionals and Professors will be reading these case studies ***
Along with the $1,000, the student awarded will have their case study published on On Center Software, Inc.'s Student and Educators web pages which can be accessed by thousands of individuals. It will also be used for demonstration purposes with other Universities throughout the United States.
